Emigrant Ship "Castel Felice"

The Castel Felice had a long and interesting history between her first voyage in 1930 for a British shipping line and being broken up in 1970. The name of the ship was changed eight times, though she kept the name Castel Felice from 1952 until 1970. The Castel Felice began her first voyage as a post-war emigrant ship for the Italian shipping line Sitmar on the 6th October 1952. She accommodated 1400 passengers and brought over 100,000 emigrants on 101 voyages from European ports to Australia between the years 1952 and 1970.
